Verdant has successfully developed processes that are most suitable for the manufacture of radomes. These technologies has brought capability to produce radomes of low loss factor, covering a wide band of frequencies.
Antennae of various systems have a demanding requirement to protect it from the tough environmental elements such as the rain, wind blowing sand, snow, ice, ultra violet sun light, temperature, fungus and corrosion without any degeneration in electrical functioning. Verdant has successfully used its unique process to develop some low loss thin walled and sandwiched radomes. The advantages of combining different high tech materials have proven to give some of the best solutions possible for high frequency radomes. Typical radomes use fibers of E-glass, S-glass, Arimide, Quartz and resins epoxy, cyanate ester, etc: along with various honey comb and foam type core material for sandwiched type construction..
Verdant has in house lay-up room, paint booth, oven, tooling and machine shop. Our radome designs include solid wall, A-sandwich and multi-layer construction and can be tailored to your requirement. The materials and construction are chosen to minimize loss at the specific frequency while optimizing strength and cost. Finally, Verdant has expertise in all types of radome coatings, including epoxies, polyurethanes and anti-static topcoats.
Radome applications include radar and weather radar
systems, air traffic control, telemetry, satellite
communications, satcom uplink or receive systems
